My clinical practice involves combining traditional social work techniques with neurofeedback (NFB). NFB is based on "training" electrical currents in the brain to make healthier patterns. This helps regulate the brain and thereby, improve functioning. I believe the combination of NFB and counseling optimizes a person's ability to heal. NFB improves brain regulation, and I combine this with various counseling methods to address long-standing issues and their impact on relationships, as well as to bridge the time between beginning NFB and completing treatment.
